We have put together this informational packet to help explain the process
of becoming a volunteer member of the Vail Mountain Rescue Group. We
invite you to download the attached .pdf document which is complete with
membership guidelines, a written account of the membership process, suggested
equipment lists, and an application for membership.
Applicants to the team should have a clear understanding in their own minds
as to the duties, responsibilities, requirements, and philosophies of VMRG.
Some of the philosophy is expressed here; some can only be gleaned through
association with the membership. Once you have read through the information
contained in this document, we invite you to join us at one of our local
business meetings held the first and third Sunday evenings of each month, 7:00
pm (1900) MST; for specific information about time and locations from week to
week, please visit the calendar section of this website.
