Vail Mountain Rescue Group would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all who assisted in the search for Michelle Vanek on 10/1. Colorado SAR teams, family friends, and members of numerous Vail Valley communities all pitched in to a great team effort and a very thorough search. This search once again proved to us that the mountains are as mercilous as they are beautiful. It also proved that the mountain communities in which we live are full of spirit, energy, and cooperation. Thank you all for your great efforts.
